Advanced Factories is one of the benchmark events for Industry 4.0 and automation in Europe.
Each year, it brings together manufacturers, engineers, integrators, and technologists to discover the latest solutions in robotics, AI, industrial software, connectivity, and digitalization.

In 2025, Advanced Factories brought together more than 38,000 professionals at Fira Barcelona – Gran Vía. Geprom, together with Telefónica Tech and Telefónica Empresas, presented a demo of real and functional intralogistics, showing automation of internal movements in the plant to optimize times and costs.

Smart Industry 5.0: the factory of the future in action
Geprom and Telefónica Tech showcased a complete production process in demonstrator format, which integrated key technologies such as 5G, industrial and collaborative robotics, artificial vision, 3D printing, and automated logistics with AMR. The demo also included traceability via blockchain, a cyberattack simulation, and predictive maintenance capabilities supported by augmented reality, demonstrating how OT-IT convergence drives the factory of the future.

Lego Factory 4.0 and Fab Lab: applied innovation at Advanced Factories 2023
In the 2023 edition, Geprom and Telefónica Tech presented two main demonstrators: the Lego Factory 4.0, which simulated a continuous production process with the IoT/MOM Legato platform, and the Fab Lab 4.0, oriented to discrete production with MES and WMS integration. In addition, the success story of Stolt Sea Farm was shared, showing how to apply artificial intelligence to optimize production management and traceability. Geprom’s participation once again placed industrial digitalization and OT-IT convergence at the center of the congress conversation.

Geprom and Telefónica Tech at Advanced Factories 2022: data, traceability, and applied intelligence
In 2022, Geprom participated together with Telefónica Tech, showcasing success stories focused on industrial digitalization and the integration of technologies such as artificial intelligence, digital twins, predictive maintenance, and virtual and augmented reality. In the Smart Factory Demo Center and FabLab 4.0 demonstrators, attendees were able to experience planning, traceability, quality management, and real-time production solutions. The joint proposal reinforced the vision of a connected industry where data drives efficiency, security, and sustainability.
