The Advanced Factories trade fair, focused on Industry 4.0 and automation for the industrial sector, will celebrate its new edition from March 3rd to 5th at the CCIB in Barcelona. This year, the event presents a new vision for the industry based on the latest innovations in automation, robotics, industrial software, artificial intelligence, additive manufacturing, machine vision, and virtual reality.

Geprom is participating for the third time in the event, where it will showcase the latest developments and advances to boost the fourth industrial revolution across all industrial sectors. From stand E527, located in the same space as in 2019, visitors will be able to see firsthand the success stories, innovations, and product demonstrations that facilitate the transformation of production plants into digital factories of the future.

The innovations Geprom will present at the event will focus on the following areas:

  • Real-time production monitoring and control: Development and integration of MES / MOM / SCADA / WMS platforms in the most demanding industrial sectors.
  • Advanced process automation: Successful case studies of turnkey production system integration, including electrical engineering and design, PLC programming, electrical installations, machine vision, and industrial-level commissioning.
  • Process flow simulation (digital twin): Bridging the physical and virtual worlds to improve the effectiveness of new investments without disrupting the actual production process.
  • Production quality and traceability: Implementation of software for quality control and traceability to ensure compliance and optimal process conditions.
  • Virtual and augmented reality: Digital spaces for training and production to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Digitization and paper elimination: RFID, NFC technologies, and applications that eliminate paper from the factory.
  • Talent and culture 4.0: Engaging human resources to ensure the success of Industry 4.0.

In the words of Albert Planas, director of Advanced Factories, “The industrial sector has traditionally been a sector that, while betting on innovation, has remained certain of known processes, which causes a fear of change. […] Our factories need to embrace new technologies, and at Advanced Factories, we aim to be the conduit for all the innovations driving industrial competitiveness and the engine for change in the sector.”

The organization expects even greater growth this year, increasing from the 300 exhibitors and 16,000 attendees of the previous edition. For three days, professionals from sectors such as automotive, aerospace, and food industries will be able to enjoy the most innovative proposals in industrial automation, robotics, machine tools, and digital manufacturing.

Geprom will be at stand E-527 from March 3rd to 5th. We look forward to seeing you there!
