For the third consecutive year, Geprom presented its latest innovations for industry digitalization at the Advanced Factories 2020 fair, held from March 3rd to 5th at the CCIB (Barcelona). Over 17,000 visitors had the opportunity to experience firsthand the latest solutions and systems for the Smart Factory.
For three days, Barcelona became the epicenter of industrial innovation, with over 650 solutions in automation, robotics, digital twins, industrial software, artificial intelligence, additive manufacturing, machine vision, and virtual reality presented by more than 350 exhibiting companies.
Geprom participated once again showcasing its latest solutions and areas of innovation, including the following:
Real-time Production Monitoring and Control
Development and integration of MES / MOM / SCADA / WMS platforms for the most demanding industrial sectors. To represent the potential of monitoring at the event, Geprom presented a demonstration model called the “Lego Smart Factory,” developed in collaboration with the CortoCircuito Robotics Club. The collaboration aims to introduce children aged 6 to 16 to the exciting world of science, technology, and Industry 4.0. The Lego model allows for a small-scale production process to be displayed and provides a simple and interactive way to visualize Industry 4.0. Data is captured via a Siemens PLC and sensors placed in the process, and through the MES Legato Sapient system, Geprom monitors and controls everything happening in real-time (breakdowns, alarms, incidents, efficiencies, etc.), all visible through a customizable and editable reporting tool.

Advanced Process Automation
Geprom showcased its success stories in turnkey production system integration, including electrical engineering and design, PLC programming, electrical installations, machine vision, and the commissioning of first-level industrial installations.
Process Flow Simulation (Digital Twin)
The main task is to connect the physical and virtual worlds through the capture and simulation of data and assets, aiming to improve the efficiency of new investments without altering the actual production process.
Production Quality and Traceability
Geprom presented its solutions for ensuring process and product conformity through quality and traceability software.
Digitalization and Paper Elimination
With RFID and NFC technologies, digital maintenance checklists, electronic whiteboards, and other applications, Geprom helps eliminate paper from factories, contributing to cost reductions in manufacturing.
Talent and Culture 4.0
Geprom emphasized the importance of integrating human resources into the digitalization process and Industry 4.0, inspiring society and young people to be part of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

GeTag: Asset Digitalization and Maintenance
As a product innovation, Geprom presented GeTag, a GMAO software for asset digitalization and integrated maintenance management. The tool aims to centralize operations, platforms, assets, and equipment in a single platform to optimize maintenance processes.

Conference on Data Accuracy
During the conference cycles at Advanced Factories, Dario Cesena, CEO of Geprom, gave a presentation on the importance of data accuracy for real-time decision-making.
