Last week, Barcelona hosted the IoT Solutions World Congress (IoTSWC), the benchmark global event for Internet of Things technology. The event brought together more than 16,000 visitors, exhibitors, and speakers to explore trends and success stories in digital transformation. Geprom was there, showcasing its latest solutions in industrial IoT and Smart Factories.
Held on October 29, 30, and 31, the fair featured more than 350 exhibiting companies, including leading IT firms, software platform developers, hardware manufacturers, and telecom professionals. IoTSWC has become a key stop for industry experts from over 100 countries to learn and share real-world insights from the current industrial revolution.
Geprom exhibited in the Catalonia Pavilion, coordinated by ACCIÓ, the Catalan Government’s agency for business competitiveness. The company introduced live demos of its most innovative products, such as the MES Legato Sapient system and its latest development: Tic Tap tags with NFC and RFID technology for smart identification and traceability of any part or product.
Also featured were other core solutions like SCADA systems, WMS, quality management, and Digital Twin tools.

Geprom also participated in the Elevator Pitch, a parallel event organized by the Generalitat de Catalunya where 20 of the most innovative companies had just 2 minutes to pitch their solutions to potential clients and partners. Toni Guillén, Sales Engineer, presented Geprom’s vision on the transformative power of real-time data in industry and its impact on business models.

The IoTSWC is part of Barcelona Industry Week, a platform uniting seven simultaneous industrial digitalization events. This year, the global attendance exceeded 25,000 visitors, reinforcing the city’s position as a world hub for industrial transformation. The next edition is already set for October 27–29, 2020.
