As part of its international expansion plan, Geprom has launched a new subsidiary in Mexico. The engineering company, which had set the objective of entering new markets in its 2019 strategic plan, has today confirmed its permanent presence in the Mexican market.
Geprom had previously engaged with the Latin American country, starting in early 2018 when it took part in a trade mission organized by the Catalan agency ACCIÓ. During that trip, the company showcased its technological solutions in the field of Industry 4.0 and industrial automation, with the goal of bringing Mexican companies products and services to enhance their processes and successfully face the challenges of the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
Mexico’s manufacturing sector is experiencing positive growth and represents a booming market. Regional companies are beginning to increase and maintain their adoption of Industry 4.0 processes and solutions. Today, Mexico is ranked among the top 10 manufacturing countries worldwide, and its industry must continue to modernize to maintain — and potentially surpass — that position.

With this decision, Geprom aims to actively participate in the digitalization and modernization of Mexican industry. At the same time, it addresses the growing need to transform production environments by integrating new solutions enabled by 4.0 technologies:
- MES systems,
- Cloud computing,
- Big Data,
- IoT,
- simulation,
- traceability,
- quality management,
- and augmented/virtual reality.
These technologies enable more efficient, flexible, intelligent, and real-time personalized processes.
To tackle this challenge and to deliver its innovative solutions to this expanding market, Geprom is reinforcing its internationalization strategy in Mexico — a path it began through several technology consulting projects at Audi’s factory in San José Chiapa (Puebla) and Volkswagen’s plant in Silao (Guanajuato).
The new entity, named Geprom Software Engineering SA de CV, is launching with the goal of continuing to develop and integrate high-value technological solutions in Industry 4.0 and industrial automation — now within the high-potential Mexican market.
