On October 3rd, the Industry 4.0 – Real-Time Experience Workshop took place at the Escuela Bancaria y Comercial in San Luis Potosí, Mexico. The event, organized by Geprom in collaboration with ProMéxico, featured presentations from both Ciateq and Geprom, addressing the topic of digital transformation and the progress being made in the Mexican industrial sector.
Ciateq, a leading Mexican technology center, delivered a presentation focused on the added value of developing manufacturing technologies, highlighting the importance of IoT innovations in the industrial environment.

Dario Cesena, CEO of Geprom, presented the company’s main technological solutions and success stories in the Smart Factory space, emphasizing the critical role people play in the shift toward more flexible, intelligent, and efficient factory processes.
During his talk, Cesena also introduced the Legato Sapient monitoring system—a platform capable of planning, controlling, and monitoring all production process data in real time. Real-world success stories were shared, demonstrating how this system enables companies to make real-time decisions and significantly improve production efficiency.
One of the most compelling takeaways from the session was the importance of having automated factories ready to adopt digital technologies. Only with automation in place can the vast amount of data generated by workshops, machines, customers, and suppliers be properly collected and leveraged.
Finally, as a central message, the Geprom speaker stressed the importance of people, noting that their attitude and adaptability toward the changes in industry are the true key to successfully meeting the demands of this new industrial revolution.
The event concluded with a Q&A session, allowing attendees to engage directly with the speakers, ask questions, and form new professional connections.
Geprom extends its sincere thanks to ProMéxico for their collaboration and the opportunity to connect with the Mexican industrial community.
