On June 26 and 27, the first edition of Automotive Meetings Madrid took place at IFEMA – Feria de Madrid. This international B2B event aimed to strengthen relationships between global supply chain operators and featured over 200 participating companies from 19 countries.
Geprom joined the event alongside Telefónica and Asti, presenting its latest innovations and ongoing projects in Industry 4.0 and industrial automation specifically tailored to the automotive sector. The automotive industry is evolving rapidly, moving toward a future defined by high automation, smart machines, and interconnected devices.
As a leader in enterprise digital transformation, Telefónica Empresas contributed with IoT, Cloud, and Big Data technologies—developed jointly with Geprom—that are essential to the modernization of the automotive industry.
The event featured a wide range of activities including conferences and roundtable discussions, where experts addressed trending topics like innovation, digital transformation, and Industry 4.0, from an international perspective.
The event concluded with remarks by the Acting Minister of Industry, Trade and Tourism, Reyes Maroto, who emphasized:
“For our country, the automotive industry is a key sector that must continue to play an important role in our future economic model. We are aware of the transformation the sector is undergoing […] and it is essential to establish shared, comprehensive, and structured strategies to face this challenge responsibly.”
