Madrid, March 28, 2022. Telefónica Tech will exhibit its value proposition for the industrial sector and present three AI application success stories in production environments at Advanced Factories 2022, the global innovation and Industry 4.0 congress and fair, held in Barcelona from March 29 to 31.
Robust data infrastructures for Industry 4.0
In its presentations, Telefónica Tech will highlight the importance of creating robust and governed data infrastructures for Industry 4.0, where information flows from the sensor to operational intelligence through advanced analytics, Artificial Intelligence, and machine learning algorithms.
During Advanced Factories 2022, Telefónica Tech will demonstrate in the panel “Excellent Product with AI Support” how AI enables predictive maintenance of industrial assets. The advancement of this technology and the widespread deployment of 5G communications allow massive real-time data collection from equipment on the plant floor and the development of algorithms and digital strategies to predict asset health, prevent unplanned downtime or failures, and optimize operational efficiency and asset availability.
AI enhances reliability and quality
The application of AI in the industrial sector also improves process reliability, as analytical models evaluate collected data to enhance the quality of manufactured products by incorporating real-time variables based on the plant’s current conditions. This technological development prevents the production of items that do not meet the initially defined quality standards.
AI also allows demand prediction in the industry. Intelligent data analysis improves the entire value chain, incorporating market demand forecasts based on historical consumption and customer behavior. Industrial companies can leverage this technology to adapt market demand and pricing to planned production.
