MES System – Manufacturing Execution System Software

Gain total control of production in real time with reliable data, reducing downtime, waste, and costs while improving process efficiency, quality, and traceability.

What is an MES System?

MES (Manufacturing Execution System) systems are software tools that enable the planning, monitoring, and control of production processes in factories in order to improve efficiency and quality, and reduce costs.

MES systems are the central axis of operations digitization, as they provide total interconnection at all levels of the factory: shop floor (machines, robots, automation systems, AGV’s, etc.), people, departments, and higher-level systems (ERPs).

Geprom platforms are fully modular and can work independently. Acquiring the MES software will allow continued growth based on customer needs, guaranteeing optimal control of production, traceability, planning, and maintenance of a factory or a set of factories simultaneously. Geared towards production execution, they are extremely useful for operators working on the plant floor, plant managers, or production managers.

All process data is collected and stored in real time and converted into customized reports, allowing evaluation of overall process efficiency (OEE), machine status, and improved decision-making.

The Digital Maturity Pyramid

What Level of Digital Maturity Does your Plant Have?

Digital transformation in industry is a structured process that evolves in stages. Our digital maturity pyramid, based on the ISA-95 model, helps you understand how the different factory systems connect, from basic automation to integrated platforms.

Level 3 represents a fundamental leap: the implementation of an MES System allows companies to have total production control, complete traceability, order management, and real-time visibility over operational efficiency. It is here that many industries consolidate their digitization and multiply their responsiveness.

Frequently Asked Questions

How Can the Integration of Older Machinery with a Modern MES be Addressed without Replacing all the Equipment?

Many manufacturers fear that an MES system will only work with state-of-the-art machines. However, Geprom’s technology incorporates protocols and connectors that allow legacy machines and new equipment to “speak the same language.” Thanks to this interoperability, you can update your processes without facing a costly total renovation of the equipment.

How Does MES–MOM Integration Prevent Duplication and Data Silos in the Plant?

When MES is integrated with the MOM system, all information flows in a unified environment, reducing the repeated entry of data and minimizing errors. Geprom’s MES software is designed to work seamlessly with higher and lower-level systems, ensuring complete visibility from raw material to finished product.

What are Reasonable Timeframes for Seeing Tangible Improvements in Productivity and Cost Reduction?

The implementation of any MES system involves a learning curve, but Geprom has developed agile methodologies to accelerate the start-up. Many factories begin to notice visible improvements, such as a lower scrap rate or unexpected stoppages, in the first few weeks. Over time, the system refines the workflow and maximizes the efficiency of the entire production chain.

How to Quickly Identify Bottlenecks in Production without Stopping the Entire Line?

An effective MES collects and analyzes production data in real time, allowing you to pinpoint the exact location where a bottleneck is forming. At Geprom, the MES system offers intuitive dashboards and automatic alerts that help you react immediately to inefficiencies, without having to stop the entire plant to “investigate” the source of the problem.
