This morning marked the end of the Mobile World Congress Barcelona, rebranded for this edition as MWC19. Over 109,000 visitors attended the world’s most important exhibition in the mobile industry, where they were able to see, touch, and experience the best in technology.
Geprom presented its products and services aimed at digitalizing production and enhancing factory connectivity. Highlights included the Legato Sapient MES system and other innovative solutions such as Finito ShiftBook, QDA Software, the digital whiteboard, and the digital twin. Thousands of visitors had the chance to see how these technologies are designed to tackle the challenges posed by the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
This year’s themes revolved around smart connectivity—a concept that encompasses high-speed, flexible 5G networks, the Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Big Data. This powerful combination signals the beginning of a new era defined by highly personalized experiences, transforming not only industry but the world at large.
Geprom’s goal at the event was to strengthen its presence in the sector by initiating new projects with clients and partners in the telecommunications and industrial fields. Within this context, Geprom and Telefónica signed an agreement during MWC19 to promote factory digitalization in Spain.

Over the four days of the event, more than 2,400 companies showcased their most advanced technologies, products, and services across more than 120,000 square meters at Fira Gran Via in Hospitalet. Among them, 77 of the most innovative Catalan companies — including Geprom — presented their commitment to smart connectivity at the Catalonia regional pavilion, coordinated by ACCIÓ.
The event, which welcomed visitors from nearly 200 countries, had the highest attendance in its history and is already preparing for its next annual edition, scheduled for February 24–27, 2020.
